Join Us to Support Our Veterans We invite you and your family to a meaningful Veterans Day event along the beautiful shoreline of Saint Simons Island, honoring those who’ve served and confronting a crisis we cannot ignore. Every single day, 22 veterans die by suicide. These are not just numbers; they are parents, children, siblings, and friends. Brave men and women who survived combat zones but never found peace at home. Many return from service carrying both visible and invisible wounds: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), loss of limbs, and the heavy weight of isolation. Returning to civilian life is not always easy, and too many veterans face this transition without the resources or community they desperately need. That’s why we run. Fairways for Freedom®, in partnership with SSI VFW Post 4092, is working to change that. Proceeds from this event will directly fund local programs that help combat-injured veterans reconnect, recover, and rebuild their lives using innovative, holistic approaches through several ways, including the healing power of golf.
