The Big Run 5k

On June 3rd, We Run Together. Global Running Day is our holiday; a celebration of the activity we love and the sport that brings our community together. We’re inviting all runners and walkers to join us on June 3rd to mark the occasion, set a goal and cross the finish line. We encourage you to bring your family, friends, and neighbors. We want to see the whole community participate because, seriously, running together rocks. What you can expect: It's on a Wednesday—who couldn't use a mid-week pump-up? Finisher medals. Not just any medal. A very cool, make-your-friends-jealous medal (see image below). Proceeds benefit the Knox County Parks and Rec Youth Scholarship Program. This program provides financial assistance to Knox County youths that would otherwise not be able to participate in Knox County youth sports program. And we made it better! Date/Time: Now you can select from: 5K Fun Run - Wed 6/3 at 6:30 am 5K Timed Run - Wed 6/3 at 7:00 pm Location: The Cove, 11808 S Northshore Dr, Knoxville, TN 37922 Course Description : The course starts at the Cove and runs out and back on the greenway. We will run past the bridge and the new section under Northshore Dr to a turnaround point.
