Please join us on St. Patrick's Day, March 17th, for the 46th Annual Pot O’ Gold Races held in partnership with the Ancient Order of Hibernians and J. P. O'Sullivan Distributing. These festive, downtown races are a long-standing Flint tradition and offer something for all ages - they are even kicked off in true Celtic Tradition by the Grand Marshal of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Distances include a 4-mile run or walk, Little Leprechaun (½ mile and ¼ mile kids’ races), and a .317K Beer Dash (about 100 yards). The four-mile loop takes participants through scenic parts of the city including the University of Michigan-Flint Campus, Mott Community College Campus, Flint Cultural Center, and Applewood Estates. The post-race party includes one complimentary adult beverage for those 21+ (nonalcoholic beverages will also be available), pizza, fruit, a warming tent, live band (thanks to FIM!), and additional food trucks with food for purchase. All 4-mile participants receive free, festive flair to wear along the race course, as well as a custom, 4-inch race medal and technical fabric race shirt. Age group awards will be provided to men and women in both the run and competitive walk in the general and masters categories (5-year increments). Beer Dashers will also receive a beer-dash shirt and Crim gift. Food and beverages will be available for purchase for any spectators. Races include the historic 4-mile loop through Flint, a Little Leprechaun’s Kids’ Race, and the new .317K Beer Dash (.19 miles). Four-miler participants will get a long-sleeved tech shirt with a traditional Irish crest, a custom 4” finisher medal, a free beverage, post-race food, and access to the post-race St. Patty’s day party in our party tent! Enjoy live music, beer, and all kinds of goodies and entertainment. For the spectators, family, and friends, don’t miss out on the new Beer Dash. Those who run, walk, skip, or trot the .317K get a custom Beer Dash shirt, pint glass, access to the post-race party and a free beer or soft-drink! Four-milers can participate in both events, if they would like!
