Long Run 5K

Welcome to the J.L. Long Middle School 28th Annual Long Run 5K! The event this year will be on Thursday, April 9, 2025. The 1K starts at 6 pm ; the 5K starts at 6:30 pm. The 28th Annual Long Run 5K starts and finishes at JL Long Middle School 6116 Reiger Ave, Dallas, TX 75214 The Long Run is a fundraiser supporting Dallas ISD’s JL Long Middle School. This year marks our 28th run! The campus PTA organizes the annual event and proceeds are used to bridge critical funding gaps in the JL Long Middle School budget, including: -Sensory items and games for the Special Education Department -Funding needed to support Peace Pantry (food/clothing provided to needy students/families) -Equipment for Zoo Crew and gaming equipment for Esports -Funding for staff support and curriculum training -Equipment and materials for science labs and the Athletics Department -Supplemental books and educational materials -Entry fees and transportation for Long’s Math and Science Team, athletic and music competitions -Transportation for student field trips to promote college-bound culture -Student gardens, campus beautification and 6th grade “Buc Camp” orientation jllongpta.membershiptoolkit.com/longrun
