Frank Shorter Track Classic

The Frank Shorter Track Classic is a track meet honoring one of America's greatest ever distance athletes, Frank Shorter. Every year we will celebrate Frank's career, his devotion to the sport of running, and promotion of health and fitness, while also acknowledging a different Boulder Olympian every year. This meet is for middle distance and distance runners, that will be conducted similarly to the BMC (British Milers Club) meets. This meet will be held at Niwot High School. MEET 1 - SUNDAY, MAY 3 EVENTS - 800m, 1-Mile, 5,000m ADDITIONAL NOTES: There are NO age restrictions or time standards to enter (except for the 5,000m). All athletes will be placed in heats with other athletes that have recorded similar times. Heats will run from slowest times to fastest times. Please Note: Our final timetable for both meets, is determined by how many registrations we get. A rough timetable for each events starting time, with the slowest wave going first, is: 800m at 9:00am/ 1-Mile at 10:00am/ 5,000m at 11:00am Final race information to go out Friday, May 1st.
