COACH ARCHIE DURAN MEMORIAL5K RUN & 1 MILE FUN WALK8:00 A.M. START TIMENATIONS TOBIN PARK8831 RAILROAD DR. Join the Coach Archie Duran Memorial 5K Virtual Run for our 7th Annual Walk/Run. The event, taking place April 12, 2026, will honor the life and legacy of former Jefferson and Irvin High School teacher and coach, Archie Duran, who passed away in a bus accident during a high school sports trip 8 years ago. Participate with friends and family in our 5K run or 1 Mile Fun Walk one mile for a good cause. All proceeds from this event directly benefit the foundation, which provides scholarships to El Paso area students.Everyone gets a T-shirt, and the first 200 registrants receive a finishers' medal and SWAG! Duran’s family set up the Coach Archie Duran Memorial Fund to provide scholarships for the students that Duran cared so much about and to provide funds for teachers to purchase school supplies.
