WAG'S Walk Around the Block for Autism & Community Expo (5K & 1 MILE FUN WALK/RUN) April 5, 2025, at 9:00 am - 12:00 pm Northeast Louisiana State Office Building (Back Parking Lot) 24 Accent Drive Monroe, LA 71202 join us for our Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk and Community Expo! Our goal is to bring the community together to celebrate our AUESOME families. This is a day where friends, families, businesses, and community stakeholders can unite to learn, teach, connect, play, and enjoy a morning of fellowship, activities, exercise, and fun. We are also proud to shine a light on our AUESOME community stakeholders who thrive through community inclusion, support, and opportunity. Let’s make this a day of celebration, TOGETHER ! Event Details: 7:00am - 8:30am Race Day registration and T-Shirt pickup 8:30am – Welcome/Warmup 8:50am - 5K *Runners/Walkers* 9:00am - 1 Mile Fun run/walk 10:30am – Awards Ceremony/Thanks 10:00-12:00pm - Fun & Games, Food & Drink Tents, Photos, live DJ and Resource Vendors for everyone. THIS IS NOT A TIMED EVENT. *Strollers, scooters, wheelchairs are allowed, however please keep in mind that the course path is within the " Oregon Trail " community, and please be mindful of surroundings and other participants. ATTENTION: Please contact Shontae Johnson (Race co-chair) at info@wandasag.org to preregister an AUSOME ability participant (child/adult). Their registration is FREE . Registration Fees (Early & Late Fees & dates): 1/20/2026 thru 4/4/2026 12yrs & under: Registration cost is $15 13yrs & up: Registration cost $25 * T-Shirt is included in registration cost, if paid by 3/07/26.* This is a hard cutoff date for T-Shirt orders. Packet Pickup (Location, Date & Time): HAMPCO Inc. 1116 Jackson Street, Monroe, LA 71202 TBA Race Day T-Shirt pick up & Race Day registration is at the Race location from 7:00-8:00am Awards: 1st Place- Male & Female Runner 1st Place- Male & Female Walker Largest Team Preregistered by April 3rd The Team with the largest amount raised by April 3rd, will receive our Ausome Sensory & Safety Trophy Trunk. (filled with items valued over $1,000) The Race Benefits: Proceeds will help support underserved disability families in our communities navigate through their journey with autism, by providing quarterly community engagement activities, safety & sensory kits, community/school event sponsorships, advocacy & resource assistance, and peer support. NO REFUNDS , we will run/walk regardless if raining (except in extreme weather).
