
Vermont Maple Festival Sap Run 8.5 Mile

Now in its 46th edition, the Annual Sap Run is a point to point run that starts in Swanton Village and finishes on Main Street in the heart of the Vermont Maple Festival in Downtown St. Albans. Date: Sunday, April 26th Start Time: 8:00 AM Distance: 8.5 miles Cost: Online Registration: $40, $35 no shirt option Day Of Registration: $45 Cash or Check Only This race is part of the Vermont Maple Festival, which celebrates our Sweet Maple Syrup industry in Vermont. The race finishes right in the heart of the festival, which has food trucks, maple donuts, maple cotton candy, and maple creemees (or soft serve for you non-locals). Plus craft and art shows, music, and much more. Check it out at vtmaplefestival.org Race Day Registration, for both pre-registered and day of registrants, will be at the Swanton Public Library New Team Prize! Team scoring will be based on age group placing. 10 points if you win your age group, 9 for 2nd place, and so on. After 10th place, everyone will score 1 point. The top four scorers on your team will count towards your overall score. There is no minimum or maximum number of team members. Just make sure you put in the correct team name during registration. The prize will be a sizable gift card to one of our local dining establishments so you can celebrate with your team. Note that this is NOT a relay. All team members run the full distance. Pre-race bib pickup and in-person registration: Pre race bib pickup will be available. Time and location TBD. Course: We will use the traditional course which starts by the park in the Village of Swanton, and runs South on Route 7 for 8.5 miles before finishing in front of Taylor Park in St. Albans. Course Map and Profile Official timing will end at 10:15 AM, as we have to clear out for the Maple Festival Parade at Noon.
