About this race
Let us introduce ourselves. We are TYDISH Running, an acronym that stands for “Tell Your Dog I Says Hi”. We are female owned and strict on maintaining a grass routes feel in a world of chaos. Our focus here is on the athletes, accomplishments, give backers, do gooders, nature and all the creatures. We like to keep it simple, not super showy, but loud where it counts.
This event will host 2 race directors, Andrea W., and Nicole D. We excitedly welcome you to our table and are thankful for the space you wish to take up while here.
Support is our first goal while thriving on making a difference and helping where we can.
It’s a brick by brick mentality, so lets build it!!!
Greetings.
The collision of past and present creates change. This event is very much that. As you arrive into the grounds of the High Cliff State Park you are soon greeted by rich nature, gems tones, cool breezes and consumed in beauty. It’s officially Fall, get ready for it y’all.
This Sunday morning will host a half and full marathon trail running events. You’ll be treated to views of Lake Winnebago, travel on technical single tracks and wide rolling prairie sections. Then the majestic cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment above with the historical Lime Kiln Ruins below is what makes this place so spectacular.
A wonderland you’ll traverse through on foot. Please be aware some trail sections are shared with mountain bikers and horse riders. Yield accordingly and demonstrate proper trail etiquette at all times.
Cutoff times are 8 hours for the Full and 5 hours flat for the Half Marathon.
We strive to be an obtainable goal for all athletes.
Offerings.
The event will take home base at the Gathering Space in the upper lot. Ample parking and room will allow athletes, spectators and park goers to coexist on this busy day. We do not have exclusive use of the park and remember we are guests here.
Our main aid station will be at the Gathering Space with another along the route. The other will be announced soon as both courses are still awaiting final DNR approval.
Athletes will have the usual running snacks/eats/treats available to choose from. Water, soda and an electrolyte beverage will also provided. THIS IS A CUPLESS EVENT!!! Volunteers will happily help you refill your own hydration carriers and reusable cups that you will need to provide for yourself.
A pasta buffet will be offered after each event for those to choose noodles and toppings from. You carb load before, we’ll provide the after.
