This family-friendly 5K invitesrunners, walkers, and supporters of all ages to take part in a picturesque course windingthrough the stunning Rose Hill Plantation in Bluffton, SC. Whether you’re sprinting toward thefinish line or strolling amidst the Lowcountry’s natural beauty, your participation helps raiseawareness and funds for Parkinson’s Disease. Lace up, bring your loved ones, and be part of aday that blends fitness, fun, and hope for a brighter future. The Lowcountry Tulip Trot 5K & Walk for Parkinson’s Disease is a heartfelt event inspired by thelife and legacy of Leslie W. Matthews, whose enduring spirit, generosity, and commitmentto service left a lasting impact on all who knew him. After Les passed away on March 9, 2024, atthe age of 77, his family—wife Lynn, sons Joshua and Adam, and their families—set out tohonor his memory by raising awareness and funds for Parkinsons Disease, a cause close totheir hearts. The first 250 participants receives a T-shirt. Finishers medals and Top male and female finishers, Packet pickup on Friday, May 27th, at Palmetto Running Company, Bluffton only from 4-6pm. On race day, collect your packet at Rose HillPlantation from 7:45-8:45AM—no registrations on the day of the event. Awards: Finishers medals for all! Plus additional prizes for 1st place overall male and female winners.
