TRIATHLETES vs. SWIMMERS OPEN WATER CHALLENGE

Curious to know who the better open water athletes are (triathletes or lap swimmers)? Want to see who's really been training in the off season? Looking for a fun and safe way to swim? Do you know what events are happening in 2026? Got triathlon gear collecting dust and taking up space in your home or garage? If so, come join us at Shady Oak Beach in Mtka for the annual... On May 31, 2026, the Hopkins Royal Triathlon will once again be offering a fun event to promote multi-sport activities in our state. It will feature an open water (swim only) competition, with 3 different swim distances to choose from. Plus, we will be inviting event Directors from all over the state to come out to let you know about their events during our post-race BBQ! As an extra bonus, we will also be hosting a gear swap meet (aka: garage sale) so start putting things aside now!
