Trail Run / Walk @ Navarino Nature Center

Get back to nature and run down the trails of Navarino! New in 2025 and 2026 are two new boardwalks that are 8ft wide spanning across the both bogs at Navarino. Run or walk the trail past some mud, over tree roots, across boardwalks over marshes and bogs, through forests and prairies, and raise funds for environmental education at the same time. Welcome to the Navarino Trail Run / Walk! This event helps to support a wonderful non-profit that provides educational programs to 3,000 students and over 15,000 adults annually. You're also supporting improvements to the trails that you enjoy walking or running! Staff and volunteers will time participants, in addition to your self timing. The nature center will have a timing display available. All participants will receive a participant medal. The event will be held on Saturday, April 25th at 9 am. Navarino Nature Center appreciates your support of this 2026 event. Thank you for your support! Staff and volunteers will prepare the trails in advance. Staff will be here on Saturday, April 25th for packet pick up, starting the event, timing monitors, etc. Event details and schedule Packet pickup will be outside the nature center classroom on the west side of the building starting at 7:30 AM on Saturday, April 25th, 2025. 10K and 5K events start at the 9 am, following national anthem and morning updates. Children's one mile fun run starts after the last participant from 5K walk has cleared the course (typically around 10:30 am). There will be NO Awards as all participants will receive participant metals in 2026.
