Join the University of Oregon Triathlon Team for a fun, welcoming, and beginner-friendly triathlon right here at the UO Rec Center! Whether you’re a experienced triathlete, completely new to the sport, or you’re a young athlete excited to challenge yourself, this event is built just for you. What to Expect This race is designed to be accessible, low-pressure, and community-oriented. Distances are intentionally short, the atmosphere is relaxed, and our UO Tri athletes will be on deck to cheer you on, answer questions, and guide you every step of the way. Perfect for: Newcomers wanting a fun introduction to triathlonYouth and teens interested in trying something active and excitingCommunity members looking for a supportive challengeFamilies and friends participating together Race Format The event takes place entirely within and around the Rec Center facilities, featuring: Indoor Swim – Safe, supervised laps in the Rec Center poolStationary Bike Ride – Timed effort on indoor bikes—your own pace, no traffic!Outdoor Run – A quick course to finish strongEach segment is designed to be manageable for all ability levels.
