Timmay 5k: Raising Awareness for Organ, Eye, and Tissue Donation On Saturday, April 25th, 2026, the Tim Rasmusson Foundation (TRF) will host the 12th Annual Timmay 5k Run/Walk around Silver Lake Park in Rochester, Minnesota. This event will honor and celebrate the life of Tim Rasmusson, who tragically passed away on April 9th, 2014, at the age of 26 from an aortic aneurysm. Known as "Timmay" to his friends, Tim's legacy lives on through his generous eye, tissues, and organ donation, which impacted many lives. The Timmay 5k brings together community members to raise awareness for organ, eye, and tissue donation, with the goal of educating others and inspiring action. Our race slogan, “Target Donor Awareness,” reflects the urgency of this cause and the impact that donation has on those in need. Funds raised from this event will support the Gift of Life Transplant House in Rochester, Minnesota, providing vital services and accommodations to transplant patients and their families. This event coincides with National Donate Life Month, a time to celebrate the life-saving power of organ donation and encourage more people to register as donors. It is a time to honor those who have given the gift of life, just as Tim did. Currently, more than 100,000 people are waiting for a lifesaving transplant. By participating in the Timmay 5k, you can help raise awareness about the need for donors and contribute to this life-changing cause. Together, we can honor Tim’s legacy and make a real difference in the lives of those in need.
