NYC Summer Half, 5 Miler 2026

LOCATION: 102nd Street Crossing & East Drive, Central Park Race Start: East Drive and 102nd Street Crossing/Transverse. The course requires that you begin by running north and over the Great Hill. You then head south on West Drive and run to Terrace Drive. You then turn left (east) and cross the park on Terrace Drive. Then turn left again and head north on East Drive returning to the start. At the start, instead of continuing on East Drive, you turn left (west) and run on the 102nd street crossing/transverse, crossing the park to West Drive. You then head south to Terrace Drive and complete another loop. You finish on the 102nd Street crossing/transverse when you complete the second loop. Every loop will be timed in real time. You will receive 2 splits and a final time. Finish is at the 102nd Transverse. 5 Milers run the first loop of this course. Water Stations: There will be water stations about every 2 miles along the course. Besides water there will be bananas and oranges and sports drink and gels (brand to be announced soon). Goodie Bag: Technical T-shirt: male & female cut personalized bib (must register 4 weeks prior) commemorative bib thereafter. Die Cast Medal with full color ribbon Awards/Acrylic for Top 3 overall Male and Female Awards/Medals for Top 3 Age Groups Male and Female 14- 19, 20-24 until 75-79 Note: Awards will NOT be mailed. If you cannot stay for the awards ceremony have a friend pick the award for you. Bring picture I.D. You will receive a bib with a timing chip attached to it. Baggage Check-in: 7:15 a.m. to 8:00 a.m Your bib will have a tear off tag that you will pin to your personal bag. You need to show the matching bib to retrieve your bag from secure area. Race Start: 8:30 a.m. Awards Ceremony starts promptly as soon as top 3 overall male and female finished. Do not leave without your award. Ceremony for Age groups start about 30 minutes after the overall ceremony or as soon as most of the top 3 in each age group complete the race! Post Race Celebration! Bagels, fruits and drinks!
