The Bear 100

Lottery for 2026 opens November 15th and is open until Dec 15th. Read about it at bear100.com/lottery Description We are celebrating our 28th Anniversary in 2026! The Bear 100 is (usually) a cool, Autumn point to point 100 Mile race. It is a beautiful run through the Pines, Golden Aspen and Red Maples of the Wasatch-Cache National Forest of Utah, the Bear River Range of Utah & Idaho and finishing at Bear Lake. The Bear 100 is a Hardrock and Western States 100 qualifier and is an UTMB index race. Race Day is Friday September 25, 2026 6am Start - 36 hr cutoff Race Fee: $350 + Tax + Ultrasignup Fee Other Fine Print: Race management may use their discretion if the race is canceled for any reason. You may not receive some or all of your entry back if that occurs. Race management also reserves the right to deny entry to anyone for any reason. Qualifier You must complete a 50 miler in under 16 hours OR complete any 100K, 100 or 200 Miler under the cutoff before registering for the 2025 Bear 100. You have to have completed an official race of 50 miles or longer. No links to Strava of a birthday run count, sorry. In order to qualify for the 2026 event you must have completed the requirement within the last 4 years prior to registering (qualifying window December 1, 2021 - December 1, 2025). We will verify all qualifiers after the lottery window closes via official race results from Ultrasignup and/or the race's websites. Anyone who registers but has failed to complete the required qualifier will not be eligible for the lottery.
