For the last 49 years, The Cowtown Marathon has been a Fort Worth tradition, kicking off in 1979 with two races, the 10K and Full Marathon, and growing into the largest multi-event race in North Texas. With two 5K’s, the high-energy Adults 5K and family-friendly Kids 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, legendary Full Marathon, and Ultra Marathon for those ready to go the extra mile, there is a distance for everyone. The Cowtown will let you experience the world-famous Texas hospitality from the cheering crowds at every turn, live bands bringing energy to every mile, and that unforgettable moment when you cross the finish line and earn one of our iconic medals. And the fun doesn’t stop there. Celebrate your accomplishment at our epic after party, where runners, friends, and family come together to relax, refuel, and keep the good vibes going. Every step you take helps support something bigger. Through our C.A.L.F. (Children’s Activities for Life and Fitness) Program, The Cowtown has helped thousands of kids get moving, providing over 65,000 pairs of running shoes and giving more than 5,000 students each year the chance to cross their very first finish line.
