Welcome to a new road race frontier!! Come run at one of only 14 FAA-licensed spaceports in the United States, where the USAF Thunderbirds train, and the site where New Mexico became the third state in the nation to send humans to space. Spaceport America is the world’s first purpose-built commercial spaceport, designed and constructed specifically for commercial users who had not previously been served by an airport or any federal infrastructure of any kind. New Mexico’s spaceport is located on 18,000 acres of State Trust Land in the Jornada del Muerto basin, 45 miles north of Las Cruces, N.M., and 20 miles southeast of Truth or Consequences, N.M.
