Join the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego for the 2026 Nationwide Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk., a movement that brings our community together to educate, spread awareness and make a difference for the people we love who live with epilepsy. These nationwide events are dedicated to the memory of Sharon Rosenfeld, a nurse and teacher who cared deeply about epilepsy and advocated helmet safety. We encourage families to bring their own blankets, beach chairs and umbrellas. Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk. San Diego is a 15-mile Bike Ride or 5K Run/Walk, but it’s more than that. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS 7:30am - Registration Opens; Packet Pick-up 8:45am - 15-Mile Bike Ride Start9:30am - 5k Run/Walk Start10:30am to Noon - Community Picnic REGISTRATION & FUNDRAISING Funds raised from Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk. provide education and awareness, training programs on seizure recognition and first aid, as well as access to specialty and supportive care for the nearly 50,000 people affected by epilepsy here in San Diego. People with epilepsy need our support more than ever. 80% of your registration fee is used for our no-cost programs and services to anyone affected by epilepsy. Register as an individual, join a team or create your own team! With your registration, you will receive a FREE commemorative San Diego Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk. T-shirt. (T-shirt sizes must be placed by April 15 to guarantee your size. After April 15, t-shirts will be available on a first come, first served basis until we run out.) Discount pricing for kids ages 6-12. Ages 0-5 are FREE to register and have the option to add a t-shirt for $10. Age-based prices adjusted at checkout. Everyone who registers will become a fundraiser and be able to create their own personal fundraising page. Share your personal story and encourage your friends, family members and co-workers to support you and donate to your page. Click here for fundraising ideas. There will be exciting incentives, challenges and prizes for individual fundraisers. Click here for the rewards. Your supporters will donate directly to your individual fundraising page, not your team page. Your team page will reflect the cumulative amount of individual fundraising from team members. Teams raising $500 or more by April 15 will be given a professionally printed team sign. Top ten largest teams who have raised $2500 or more by April 15 will be provided a tent. We encourage everyone to bring your own personalized team signs and swag for the celebration!
