Sebastian Scream 5K & Haunted Rail Trail

Indian River County First Responders are excited to present the SEBASTIAN SCREAM 5K & HAUNTED RAIL TRAIL. Why it Matters: First Responders face intense challenges on the job every day. Proceeds from this event will directly support counseling services, peer-support programs, and critical stress debriefing initiatives for our local Police, Sheriff, Fire and EMS personnel. Race Information: Each race participant will receive a Sebastian Scream 5K & Haunted Rail Trail T-shirt while supplies last. Register by October 6th for a guaranteed shirt. Each race participant will receive (1) ticket to the Haunted Rail Trail ( Haunted Trail may be too intense for young children ) Award for best costume. The Indian River County Parks and Recreation Department will start showing a Halloween movie on the big screen at the pool beginning at 4:30pm. Join us after the race at the North County Aquatic Center while the Indian River County Parks and Recreation Department hosts Trunk-or-Treat. Timeline: Friday, October 23, 2026 10:00 AM - 5:00PM: Early Packet Pick Up & Registration at Runners Depot Vero Beach (436 21st St, Vero Beach) Saturday, October 24, 2026 10:00 AM -1:00PM: Packet Pick Up & Registration at Runners Depot Vero Beach (436 21st St, Vero Beach) 3:30 PM - 4:45 PM: Packet Pick Up & Registration at North County Aquatic Center (9450 County Rd. 512) 4:30 PM - Halloween movie starts at the North County Aquatic Center 5:30PM: 5K Race Start (Race proceeds west from the North County Aquatic Center to I-95 and returns to the North County Aquatic Center) 6:30PM: Awards 6:30PM: Trunk-or-Treat begins and lasts until the Trunks are empty ( Free Entry for Trunk-or-Treat ) 7:00 PM: Haunted Rail Trail Opens. Haunted Rail Trail begins at North County Aquatic Center. No MASKS, BAGS, or Halloween Props are allowed to be worn or carried on the trail. 10:00 PM: Haunted Rail Trail Ends Awards: Top Overall M & F Top Masters (40+) M & F Age Groups (Top 3 M & F Runners): 5-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+ Entry Fees: $35 ($40 on race day) Sorry, no refunds.
