Run Like a Girl

“Run Like a Girl” is a walk/run event to spread awareness and fight for justice for women and victims and survivors of sexual violence. Date/Time: April 19th, 2026 at 11:30am check in. Run/walk starts at 12 noon. The event start and check-in reception will be outside of the UHY on the sidewalk/pavement. Location: Marcelle Athletic Complex , baseball field , Siena University Campus Distance: 1.5 miles. This number is from the statistic conducted by the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) that 1 in 5 women in the United States experienced completed or attempted rape during their lifetime. Attendees can run/walk the route twice if they wish to go a longer distance. Who: The event is open to all in the community, Siena University and Union College students, athletes, and faculty/staff. Cost: Free. Donations to Unity House of Troy are appreciated. We will be collecting feminine hygiene products at the event. (pads, tampons and pantiliners) Parking: Lot F, Lot X, or Lot U
