Run for Recovery 5K

Welcome to the annual Run for Recovery 5K! Bring the whole family including the fur babies (dogs) to Stars & Stripes Park for this fun family event. People of all ages and skill levels are welcome to join! Run for yourself, run for someone you love, or run in memory of someone. The race benefits Teen Recovery Solutions (TRS) in Oklahoma City. TRS is the umbrella organization for Mission Academy High School which is the ONLY sober high school in Oklahoma. TRS provides recovery support for teenagers struggling with substance use along with an after-school alternative peer group that has regular after-school meetings and social events for both students and non-students. TRS meets the students where they are and helps them finish high school, provides the opportunity for co-curricular college credit, and helps students learn better coping skills and that sobriety can be fun. TRS offers 12-step meetings and activities for the students and provides classes and support to the families to help them better understand teenage addiction and what they can do to help their children. Proceeds from the race will help support Teen Recovery Solutions and Mission Academy High School.
