About this race

The Turlock Chaplaincy Fun Run returns for its 16th year on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, featuring a 5K race and kids 400m dash. This cherished community event supports the vital work of the Turlock Chaplaincy, an organization that provides emotional and practical support during emergencies, counseling for first responders, and character coaching for students in local schools. The Turlock Chaplaincy is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and CSUS Police employees and their families. Beyond this critical support, the Chaplaincy also plays a key role in fostering emotional recovery for individuals in the Turlock community affected by life-altering incidents. Our chaplains, who are ordained clergy, respond 24/7 to calls from public safety agencies. Whether assisting at the scene of a fatal car accident, supporting victims of armed robberies, offering comfort during in-home deaths, or addressing other critical events, they bring compassion and hope to those in need. This event provides 25% of the Chaplaincy’s annual funding, directly sustaining our ability to offer free, lifesaving services to the Turlock community. By participating, donating, or sponsoring, you ensure that our chaplains can continue their mission of care and comfort during the most challenging moments.
