Run 4 The Rolls

Saturday, October 24th 5K at 8 AM • Mile at 9 AM In 2020, Tristan Klepzig was a Senior at UNF, nearing graduation in the Mechanical Engineering program. Tragically, he passed away following a fatal accident while he was out running one evening in late October. Tristan had a wide circle of friends and family and was loved by many. Instead of birthday cake each year, Tristan’s celebratory treat of choice was always his mother’s fresh and well-known cinnamon rolls. Since his passing, the family has continued the tradition of remembering Tristan on his birthday in July and also during the month of October by gathering around a pan of homemade cinnamon rolls. In October of 2024, the Klepzigs kicked off an Instagram page “Run4therolls” to remember Tristan with running, cinnamon rolls, and friendly competition – all individually and remotely. That page gathered attention from many in 27 states and 8 countries. Collectively, over 4,600 miles were recorded.
