Remember The Fallen 5K

Welcome to our 11th Annual Remember the Fallen 5K run/walk! We are excited to provide in person and virtual race options. The event is ho sted by the South Dakota Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 1. This event is a way to remember those Law Enforcement Officers who have lost their lives serving their communities, as well to say thank you for those who continue to protect our communities every day! This year's event will come at the end of National Police Week. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. Currently, tens of thousands of law enforcement officers from around the world converge on Washington, DC to participate in a number of planned events which honor those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
