Race for the Future 5K Run/Walk

Join us for the 30th Annual Race for the Future 5K Run/Walk and Kids Dash to benefit the Lee's Summit Educational Foundation. Run or walk a 5K course beginning at the Lee's Summit West Activity Complex (2600 SW Ward Rd., LSMO) on Saturday, October 10. Arrival and day of registrations will be from 7:30-8am, 5k starts at 8:00 a.m. Please pre-register via this website. Sign up by September 28 to receive a t-shirt! The top three LSR7 schools with highest participation will receive grants from LSEF up to $1,000! Registration Options 5k Run/Walk : Select the appropriate option (LSR7 Student OR 5k Run/Walk Participant). Dream Partner/Virtual Participant : Support the event, but sleep in or run the 5k on your own time! Kids Dash : Fun run on the track for kiddos up to 6th grade. This can be added onto a 5k registration. Additional information is below. Kids Dash for children up to 6th grade begins on the track at the conclusion of the 5K Run/Walk (typically between 8:30 and 9 a.m.). Children will run in groups with like-aged kids. The oldest children will run approximately 200 meters (half lap). The youngest children will run approximately 50 meters. 5K registration is not included with a Kids Dash registration. Please sign up for the 5K and the Kids Dash if you'd like to participate in both events. Choose the Kids Dash with T-shirt option if you want a t-shirt. Registrations must be received by September 28 to receive a t-shirt. **Please note that the youth shirts run small. You might want to size up.** This event was originally established to also honor the memory of former LSR7 student, Carrie Foresee. You may contribute to Carrie's scholarship fund through LSEF by clicking here .
