The 45th Annual Pitman Freedom Four Mile Road Race WHEN: 8:45AM - Saturday, JULY 4, 2026 * Rain or Shine An Independence Day run through one of South Jersey's most picturesque towns! Online registration price will increase after 7pm on Thursday, July 2, 2026. We will have no paper registration on race day everyone must signup online. Printable version of registration form: Paper Registration Form ("All mail in registrations must be received by June 30, 2026") Cost will be $30.00 before 7pm on July 2, 2026. $35.00 after 7pm on July 2, thru July 3, 2026. Virtual Run event price is $12.50 with a shirt & $8.50 without a shirt. Race day price will be $40 Race Day packet pickup will be at Borough Hall from 7:00am to 8:15am. WHERE: Start and Finish near Broadway Theatre, Broadway, Pitman NJ COURSE: A challenging, accurately measured 4-mile course through the town. Our race is accurately timed using chip timing with jbsportstiming.com. VIRTUAL RUN: Complete by Saturday, July 4, 2026. If you'd like to submit a finish time, it can be completed through RunSignUp. Race Day Bib Pickup Times: 7:00am to 8:15am T-SHIRTS: Each runner will receive a race performance shirt. PRIZES: $100 - To the 1st Male & Female finisher. Prizes to the top 3 finishers in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 plus. All age group will get there award mail to them. The only awards that will be giving out day of is the top overall winners. *Overall Winners - based off GUN TIME - *Age Groups - based off CHIP TIME TROPHIES: Top Pitman Male/Female RACE DIRECTORS: Andy Fox, Allison Kostiuk, Eric Stanwood In Pitman, NJ, the 4th of July celebrations typically includes a parade, a fireworks display at Alcyon Lake, and the Pitman Freedom Four Miler Run. The Freedom Four Miler Run begins at 8:45 AM. The parade starts at 9:55 AM on July 4th. Road Closures Information:Broadway will be closed from approximately 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM for the run and parade.
