Your involvement directly supports local foster children and adoptive families in the Greater Fort Bend County and Houston areas. The funds raised are specifically used for our Adoptive Family Grant Award Program. These grants help families with the significant costs associated with child adoption, including attorney fees, state-mandated fees, and court costs. Payments for these grants are made directly from The Thankful Ones to the invoicing entity, such as the family's adoption attorney or directly to the courts. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our past, present, and future Trotters, Donors, and Sponsors, The Thankful Ones has awarded over $200,000 in adoption assistance grants to over 50 adoptive families and foster children since 2022.
