More About NYRR Grete’s Great Gallop 10K – Members Only Race Details This special race and festival is the highlight of NYRR’s Member Week celebration. Race on the same course where Grete won her five New York Mini 10K titles—setting road race world records in 1979 and 1980—and where she ran the final miles of her record nine New York City Marathon victories. Grete later became the founding chair of the NYRR Foundation, which has evolved into NYRR Community Impact. Registration is open only for NYRR members.
