Born On The 4th Of July! The United States of America turns 247 this year, and what better way to celebrate than by running at least 247 steps? (OK, we know you���ll run a lot more than that!). Governors Island was instrumental in American Independence, serving as lookout in the New York Harbor to keep Manhattan safe. You can see it'history as you run our course, passing old military outposts, bunkers, and even a castle! Your race entry includes a ferry ride, your race-entry, a tech tank, and post-race eats. Or try out one of the many vendors on the island. We truly can't think of a better time to explore Governors Island! We can't wait to see you there.
