National Capital 10 Miler and Janet Braunstein 5 Miler

The shutdown shut us down on Oct 5, but we’re back with a modified race distance and new course. Our 20 Miler will now be a 10 Miler. The Janet Braunstein race will remain a 5 Miler. Join us at Hains Point for our 2025 Nat’l Capital 10 Miler and the Janet Braunstein 5 Miler. This course is certified. All finishers will receive our 2025 commemorative hoodie. (Because we’ve been asked, no, the hoodie is not dated, so it does not have the date for the October race or the November race. The hoodie does reference the 20 miler. We know, not ideal for the 10 miler, but the shutdown has put us in not ideal circumstances.) Prizes as follows. All gift cards will be for PR Running who graciously has donated prize money for the past 5 years. Janet Braunstein 5 Miler Awards Overall Male and Female: 1st Place: $15, 2nd Place: $10, 3rd Place: $5 National Capital 20 Miler Awards Overall Male and Female: 1st Place: $150, 2nd Place: $75, 3rd Place: $50Masters, Overall Male and Overall Female: $50 eachWe will have age group awards three deep. (19 and under, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 and over) Directions to the race: The race will follow Ohio Dr SW, around Hains Point on East Potomac Park, Washington, DC. The starting line will be on Ohio Dr SW, close to the entrance to the Golf range, at the Eastern Gate to East Potomac Park, facing the Washington Channel (you see the Warf on the other side of the water). By Car from 395 Take Exit 2 from 395 North or Ohio Drive form 395 South. tennis court on Buckeye Drive or at the side of the street on Ohio Drive. Parking there will be limited, so first-come-first-serve. Otherwise, you can park at Parking Lot B NPS on the Potomac side of the Peninsula; from 395 South, take a right at Ohio Dr, and then right at Buckeye Dr SW. Try to park at the tennis court parking. If parking is full proceed to Parking Lot B NPS. If both parking lots are full, continue on Ohio Dr SW for street parking after the bridge.
