My Better Half Marathon

Prepare yourself for a running event like no other. Romance. Kitsch. Sweat. My Better Half Marathon is a celebration of running, romance and rom-coms. There are 4 categories: Bromance (two guy friends), Besties (two best friends), Lovers (romantically involved) and Lonely Hearts (self-explanatory). Join Orca Running, February 8th, 2026 as we celebrate love in all of its forms! Lover's registration is for couples of all kinds! Bestie's registration is for two girlfriends, mom and daughter, guy and gal, or anyone you call your bestie. Bromance registration is for two dudes who probably don't want to admit that they're inseparable. Lonely Heart's registration is for those currently enjoying being single or looking for love. The half marathon course is a total of 2 laps. The first lap has a steep but quick hill early on and is 6.9 miles in length. The second lap is 6.2 miles long and is nice and flat! The 10K course is a total of 2 laps. The first lap has some hills in the beginning and is 3.7 miles long whereas the second lap is nice and flat and is 2.5 miles in length! The 5k course is 3.1 miles long. A steep but quick hill in the beginning is a great warm-up but once you come back down it’s a breeze! Half Marathon Relay: The relay course can be completed in any way you prefer, as long as both laps are completed. Lap one is 6.9 miles long and has a quick but steep hill in the beginning, Lap two is 6.2 miles long and is nice and flat! It doesn’t matter who completes which lap. There is a relay hand off area just before the finish line (in the park gazebo) where you make the exchange from one runner to the other. Your entry comes with long sleeve 1/4 zip shirt, finisher medal, hot post oatmeal, and free race photos! The My Better Half Marathon supports Rebuilding Seattle Together.
