Mitchell's Run Thru Rockford 2026

Welcome to the 28th annual 5K Race and Kids K Fun Run thru downtown Rockford. The course runs through historic downtown Rockford and along the majestic Rogue River. Accurate splits at each mile and finish times. Mitchell's Run Thru Rockford (MRTR) was organized to benefit Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD). Mitchell Peterson, and many other boys and some girls from West Michigan have been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. All race proceeds will be donated to PPMD in Mitchell's honor, to END DUCHENNE. This is a fun, family event, with live music and a festive atmosphere. The course runs through scenic Rockford and along The White Pine Trail! Each registered 5K participant will receive a Mitchell's Run race tee, race bib, a finisher medal and race refreshments. Each registered Kids K participant will receive a Mitchell's Run race tee, race bib, finisher medal and treat. Each Virtual 5K participant will be mailed a race packet with our MRTR race tee, race bib and medal prior to the event. Packet pick up will take place on: Friday, August 21 from 4:30pm - 7:00pm Saturday, August 22 from 7:00am - 8:00am
