Las Vegas Kids Triathlon

Calling all kids, ages 6-17, novice or experienced for a full-size kids triathlon or fun run. With over 200 kids crossing the finish line last year, get energized and join us for a great race experience! Swim in the river at Cowabunga Canyon Water Park, bike at Faiss Middle School, run around Wilbur and Theresa Faiss Park, and finish inside Cowabunga Canyon Water Park with a superhero from the Las Vegas Cause-Players Alliance honoring you with a finisher medal! Triathlon participants will receive a full size triathlon event, free day pass to Cowabunga Canyon Water Park, participation medal, souvenir wristband, race sticker, and cool race t-shirt. Sign up by August 20, 2025 to guarantee this year's shirt. Recycle Run for Fun participants will receive all the same, but recycled! Race Ready Clinic and Triathlon Team If you're new to triathlon and want to be prepared for race day, sign up for our Race Ready Club Clinic on Monday, September 8, 2024, 6:00pm - 7:30pm. Participants will receive pointers on what to expect, practice transitions, work on bike handling, and much more in one evening! Want the ultimate preparation for race day, sign up for our training group. With almost a month of training in all the disciplines. Novice or advanced athletes welcome. We make it easy for families where siblings and even friends can train together. Training wheels, kick boards, and life vests WILL BE ALLOWED, but aerobars and headphones will NOT BE ALLOWED. Friday Parent & Participant Packet Pickup, Bike & Helmet Drop Off 📅 Friday, September 12, 2025⏰ 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM📍 Location: Pearland Street Circle (Between Cowabunga Canyon Water Park & Faiss Middle School)🚗 Parking: Faiss Middle School Important Details: Friday Evening Packet Pickup is Highly Encouraged.A Parent Must Be Present to sign for: Park pass entriesChild's race packet Attach bike and helmet stickers. Place only bike & helmet for overnight placement in the transition area.All Other Gear (e.g., shoes, clothing, bib) must be brought on race morning. Other Packet Pickup Options: Parent packet pickup evening before race without child. For the safety of everyone, participants must walk their bike in the park. The parent attaches bike/helmet stickers at packet pickup and places bike & helmet into transition. Arrive at 6:15am for your child to receive body markings and place other race items in transition on race morning.Or attach bike/helmet stickers at home. Pay $10 for the 6:00AM race morning packet pickup through registration. Parents must sign to receive their child's race packet and park entries on race morning at the main entrance of Cowabunga Canyon Water Park. If you pick up your packet on race morning without paying the $10 fee, the water park admission ticket included with race registration will be forfeited. If your plans change and you need to pick up your packet on race morning, please email the race organizers at least 3 days prior to the event so we may invoice you for the additional fee. Participants will receive their body markings. Apply bike/helmet stickers and take all equipment to transition. For the safety of everyone, participants must walk their bike in the park. Course Map The 1 mile Recycle Run for Fun follows the same route as the short course run, starting at the transition exit. Parents may run along side their child for the Recycle Run for Fun. *Bike and Run course are subject to change without notice. Become a Parent Volunteer! Free morning packet pickupVolunteer race shirt while supplies lastIf you choose, a $40 race refund towards a triathlon entry or $20 towards a fun run entry. Refunds are processed 1-2 weeks after the race. The Las Vegas Kids Triathlon wouldn't be possible without the help of volunteers! If you choose yes to volunteer during registration, be sure to sign up on our volunteer page right after registering your child. Race With A Friend for School Fitness Funding Tell us your school when registering! When 10 or more kids from your school sign up for the triathlon race, your school will receive $100 in School Fitness Funding for PE, playground, STEM, and adaptive movement equipment. Your school will receive $10 for each additional triathlon participant after 10 signups. So, 25 triathlon signups would mean $250 for your school. Spread the word with the school flyer found HERE. Check us out on Facebook or Instagram! Group Volunteer Donation Once a group has a total of 5 or more volunteers to help, we will donate $10 for each volunteer. For example, if a group sends 15 volunteers to assist our race, they would receive $150 for their group. Plus, everyone in the group will receive a race shirt. This is a great opportunity to support the community, earn required service hours, fundraise for your group or non profit, and build teamwork and camaraderie. Groups, please contact us using the RACE CONTACT INFO form below to let us know your group is coming and we can add it to registration so we know who's part of your group. Send your group to sign up HERE. Individuals will have the option of identifying as a Parent Volunteer or Group Volunteer Donation, but not both. Awards USA Triathlon rules state that age is determined by the child's age as of on race day. Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers in their race division. Then, 3 places deep to both male and female finishers by their age in their division.
