Kimberly’s Center's 5K Race/Walk Against Child Abuse is an annual fundraiser that takes place in the beautiful master-planned community of Calesa Township. We are excited about this special partnership which will begin at Ina A. Colen Academy. For the past 14 years, runners and walkers, who register for this race, joined the fight against child abuse and brought awareness to Child Abuse Prevention Month. This fundraising event is focused on raising critical funds to support the programs and services for children in Marion County suffering from the trauma of abuse and neglect. Each year Kimberly's Center serves approximately 1,300 children and demand continues to grow. Kimberly’s Center is Marion County’s compassionate response to the trauma of child abuse in a safe and child-friendly environment. Through specialized services the smallest victims receive quality and timely care, sharing their stories and beginning their path to a safe and healthy future. Event details and schedule: Guaranteed T-shirt or tank to the first 250 runners registered. The first 800 runners will receive a challenge medal. We will also be giving an award for the largest group of registered participants in the event, whether you run or walk.
