IRONDOG 5k

IRONDOG 5K Join us on Saturday, March 21st - 2026 for our 12th annual event. The IRONDOG Fund was created to support the medical and surgical care of animals hospitalized at the MSU Veterinary Medical Center. The IRONDOG 5K is our largest annual fundraiser. Join us for a flat, fast, fun, and unique 5K course through the campus of MSU. Dogs are welcome with walkers, they must be leashed and we ask that you start at the back of the start line area. Pricing: $30 until 3/13 with a t-shirt guaranteed. $35 from 3/14 to 3/20 limited shirts available. $40 race day (shirts while supplies last) Register by 3/13 to be guaranteed a t-shirt. T-shirts available as supplies last after that date. Awards: Overall male and female and Overall Master (age 40+) male and female. Age group awards to top 3 in each age category. Early Packet Pick Up will be held at Playmakers ( 2299 W Grand River Ave, Okemos, MI 48864) 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Friday, March 20th. Race day Packet Pickup will start at 7:30-8:50AM at the race site. Virtual option: If you are unable to join us in person we are offering a virtual event. Run/Walk on your own date and we'll send you a race shirt in the mail. Pricing is $35 until 3/13 with a t-shirt guaranteed. $40 from 3/14 to 3/21 limited shirts available. Price includes shipping. You can enter your results, however virtual participants are not eligible for awards. The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be live during the race.
