About This Event Kick off your holiday weekend the right way with the biggest Thanksgiving Day race on the South Shore. The Hingham High School Turkey Trot 5K is dedicated to providing a fast, fun, and fulfilling Thanksgiving Day road race to benefit the Boys and Girls Cross-Country and Track & Field programs of Hingham High School. Race proceeds go to the Hingham High School XC/Track Boosters to provide assistance with expenses including coaches salaries, track meet timing, additional equipment and more. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers overall as well as top 3 male and female in each age group (1-4, 5-9, 10-13, 14-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+). Price increase: An additional $5 will be charged for all registrants who enter on or after Nov. 27 Race starts at 7:30am. WALKERS WELCOME!! Running strollers please start in the back No dogs allowed on the race course (please reach out to southshorerace@gmail.com if you need to participate with a trained service animal) Bib & Shirt Pickup Pickup for all days and times listed below will be held at Hingham High School Cafeteria, 17 Union Street, Hingham, MA. Tuesday from 3:00pm - 7:00pm Wednesday from 12:00pm - 6:00pm Thursday from 6:00am - 7:15am Parking Hingham High School: 17 Union Street - school lot and baseball field lot - at start South Shore Baptist Church: 578 Main Street - 1 mile shuttle ride to start - NEW THIS YEAR!!! Shuttles will begin running from South Shore Baptist Church beginning at 5:30am with the last shuttle leaving for the start at 7:15am. Shuttles will run continuously after the race to return you to your car. The last shuttle from the school back to the church is at 9:00am. Haley Field - 411 Main Street/Route 228 - .5 mile walk to start Town Hall - 210 Central Street - .7 mile walk to start East Elementary School - 2 Collins Road - 1.5 mile walk to start Hingham Public Library - 66 Leavitt Street - .8 mile walk to start There is no parking allowed in the rear lot of Hingham High School
