This event features a lake swim in Lake Woollomes, a fast and flat road bike course, and a run which is part trail and part paved finishes the race. Each athlete registered for the Grapes of Wrath Triathlon will receive a custom t-shirt, athlete goody bag, swim cap, post-race meal, and be eligible for raffle prizes and race awards three-deep in each division. Take the weekend and come up and enjoy this fun event with your family. About the venue: Three miles southeast of Delano, CA, nestled in the vinyards and orchards of the Central San Joaquin Valley is Lake Woollomes, a 300-acre reservoir with 4 miles of shoreline, making it a cozy location for water recreation. Swimming is allowed here, making this destination perfect for hot summer days. There’s also a boat dock and a launch ramp for those wishing to take to the water. But, the use is restricted to non-powered boats, so only sailboats, SUPs, and kayaks can be used on the lake. This fast, flat course is the perfect place to get your next PR. Note:A USAT membership is required for the Triathlon, (but not the 5k/10k) If you do not have one, you can purchase one during the registration process.
