Whether you’re an experienced competitor or tackling your first triathlon, the Gates of Yellowstone provides a challenging yet rewarding experience while immersing you in the unparalleled beauty of the American West. This year, we’re excited to offer three race distances: Sprint: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km runOlympic: 1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km runHalf Distance: 1.9km swim, 90km bike, 21.1km run The race will kick off with a refreshing swim in the cool waters of the Buffalo Bill Reservoir, surrounded by awe-inspiring mountain vistas. From there, the bike course will take you through the rolling hills and expansive landscapes of the South Fork Valley, providing both thrilling challenges and scenic rewards. Finally, conclude your race with a picturesque run on a semi-flat course, offering panoramic views of the reservoir alongside the majestic peaks of the Shoshone National Forest.
