You're invited to join us for our 2nd Annual Footsteps for Families on: Saturday, June 14, 2025 - 8:30 A.M. 5K Run, 1 Mile Walk, & Family Fun Day! (In-Person Or Virtually) *** Reminder that early bird registration closes June 1st & to guarantee a t-shirt *** We are excited to invite you to a fun-filled day at our Footsteps for Family event! 🎉 Whether you run, walk, or stroll, you are guaranteed an amazing day complete with music, food, bounce house, face painting, medals for the 5K participants, & more! Can't make it in-person or not local? Choose the virtual option! (Virtual runs are not included in final live race results) Who are we? Founded in 2003, Safe Families for Children is fueled by radical hospitality, disruptive generosity, and intentional compassion. Oftentimes, children are on the edge of entering foster care, and susceptible to neglect or abuse. Safe Families steps in and provides families and children with a circle of support in various ways! Our goals are to prevent child neglect, reduce the number of children entering the child welfare system, and support families in their time of need. Lydia Home Association has been serving children and providing HOPE, HEALING, and HOME to children in Chicago since 1916 through their residential treatment care, intact services, counseling, safe families PLUS, and foster care programs. TOGETHER we can create meaningful and supportive relationships that strengthen our Families & Community!
