Please read all the rules so you understand the event. Race starts at 8:00 am ends at 6:00 pm Chupacabra, in Latin American popular legend, a monstrous creature that attacks animals and consumes their blood. The name is derived from the Spanish words chupar (“to suck”) and cabra (“goat”) and can be translated as “goat-sucker.” As a fearsome but probably nonexistent creature, the chupacabra has been characterized as the southern equivalent of the Sasquatch. This endurance event just might “chupar” the life of you. Please join us if you dare! Runners receive a limited-edition t-shirt and a Chupacabra wooden medal. Rules: We will start the clock every hour, you have one hour to finish that loop. The trail loop is 4-4.1 miles with just a small pavement section. If you don’t finish the loop in one hour you are OUSTED from the race! Save your strength as we determine winners by who runs the final loop the fastest. NO PACERS No human or animal pacers allowed. Violating this rule results in a DQ. Start/finish area There is room for you to set up your own crew station at the shelter. Gatorade, water and snacks will be provided.
