
Cereal City Triathlon & Duathlon

We're back with The 2025 Cereal City Triathlon & Duathlon! This is a sprint triathlon/duathlon that showcases the City of Battle Creek and its amenities. Willard Beach Park will be the site for this high quality multi sport event. There is a sprint distance triathlon and a sprint distance duathlon. Relay teams of all types are also encouraged to participate. Swim 500 meters, Bike 12.4 miles (20K), Run 3.1 miles (5K). This is one of the best courses around for a sprint distance triathlon, duathlon, or relay. This year the Cereal City Triathlon & Duathlon is offering both 2 and 3-person relays. Each team member will be able to register and pay individually as well, so no need to worry about who is footing the bill! Grab your fastest friends, your swim team teammates, and your cycling pals and put together a winning relay team! Returning this year , ages 18 and under can participate in our "Super Sprint" option which consists of a 400 meter swim, 10K bike, and 3K run. Each registration includes a t-shirt, finisher's medal, and post-race meal from our awesome food truck!. Packet Pick-up Saturday July 19, 2025 starting at 6:00AM on race day at Willard Beach Pavilion Transition Area Set Up Open at 6:00AM, Closes at 7:40AM Race Day Start: Participants will be grouped in start waves according to Men, Women, Duathlon, and Super Sprint. Duathlon participants will be asked to line up at the start During the race: Participants will be asked be aware of social distancing Aid station volunteers will be required to wear gloves Aid stations will be equipped with masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer for volunteers Sufficiently spaced garbage bins will be placed after aid stations to avoid participants from throwing their cups on the ground Participants will be asked to not throw their cups on the ground, resulting in a volunteer needing to pick them up In the incident that a volunteer needs to pick up waste from a participant, they will use gloves and sanitize after Spectators will be encouraged to not gather in the same location and social distance if not from the same household Post Race: Finish line volunteers will wear gloves and sanitize frequently Gloves, masks, and sanitizer will be provided for finish line volunteers Finish line volunteers will hand medals to participants in lieu of placing them on their necks All post-race food and drink will be prepackaged for easy grab and go All age group awards will be announced digitally and mailed to participants Race results will not be posted at the event, but available to participants digitally Any spectator/participant/volunteer not actively racing will be asked to stay social distance when possible Capacity will be limited in the post-race pavilion to adhere to the current state guidelines
