The Cannonball 5k is a flat & fast course through the Town of Lewes. The race will start and finish at the Lewes Historical Society with a beautiful course through historic Lewes taking in a course often called "the most beautiful race course in Delaware." About the Cannonball House: Sitting prominently on the corner of Front and Bank Streets, the Cannonball House has witnessed centuries of Lewes’ history unfold and served many purposes over its storied past. After defiantly enduring a British Naval bombardment in 1813, the Cannonball House has now come to represent the mission of the Lewes Historical Society and Lewes' proud maritime heritage. Following an analysis by the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS), the Cannonball House now requires extensive repairs and maintenance to ensure the sustainability of this beloved landmark. RACE AMENITIES Finish line produced by “Seashore Strider Event Production, Inc.,” Post-Race awards ceremony within 20 minutes following the final finisher, custom t-shirts, custom awards, post-race refreshments at the station AWARDS Aqwards will be presented to the Overall Male & Female Champions, Overall Male & Female Masters (40+ yrs.), as well as the top three (3) Male & Female finishers in the following age categories: 9 & under, 10-13, 14-19, 20-24, then 5-year age groups through 70+. Awards will be presented within 20 minutes following the final runner crossing the finish. REFUNDS/DEFERRAL The Seashore Striders have a "No Refund" policy, however we make every possible attempt to please our client with the following options: 1. Transfer to a future Seashore Strider owned event of equal value before the end of the current year. 2. Donate your entry fee to the charity associated with the event or to the Seashore Strider Youth Running program. 3. Transfer/Defer to the following year at the same event.
