BIRTHPLACE OF THE TRIATHLON JUNIOR OLYMPCS (1990'S), & 1989 QUALIFYING EVENT FOR THE INNAGURAL ITU YOUTH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS Established in 1984 at Bottomless Lakes State Park - New Mexico’s first State Park. Soloists and Relays will enjoy the 1/4 mile SWIM in the clear spring-fed lake, the 8 mile hilly BIKE course, and a fast and flat 4k RUN . This family friendly super sprint triathlon is great for first timers and loved by old timers. FREE to first 5 athletes under the age of 18 in the triathlon solo division.
