Beast of the Brazos

The Beast of the Brazos, an open-water swim event in Waco, TX, celebrates its 5th anniversary with 750m, 1.2, and 2.4-mile routes, with the two longer distances mirroring a full IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 Waco courses. All registered participants will receive a swim cap, dri-fit shirt, and finisher’s medal. This year, we are thrilled to introduce a NEW 750-meter swim, catering to all skill levels. Whether you're an experienced swimmer aiming for your next big achievement or a newcomer eager to embark on your first open-water journey, this new distance offers an inviting challenge for all. If you register for wetsuit, but decide to change into non wetsuit the morning of, there's no consequences, but please let us know! You just won't be able to qualify for a top 3 tiered age group awards. *If water temperature is above 90 degrees then the course will be abbreviated for safety reasons. All proceeds from this race will benefit the non-profit and 501(c)(3), The Greater Waco Sports Commission, which is devoted to providing opportunities to enhance the lives of those living in Waco and McLennan County through sport and exercise.
