Alabama Law Enforcement Torch Run

Law enforcement officers from across the state of Alabama host Torch Runs in support of Special Olympics Alabama. This is the Lee County area run. Law Enforcement from Auburn, Lee County Sheriff's Office, and the Opelika Police Department would love your support in this endeavor. The mission of Special Olympics Alabama is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with an intellectual disability, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. Alabama athletes have participated in the following games, and will participate in the World Games this summer.
