🏃‍♀️Run Walk or Stroll with us at our 4th Annual 5K For Life at Mike Lewis Park Grand Prairie! Come & make a difference in the community. New runners and families are welcome to join the 5K. Our vision for this annual 5k is to inspire our community to lock arms with the Grand Prairie Pregnancy Resource Center, and promote awareness and support. We will have local vendors from our region with us to come and celebrate! ✨This event is a yearly fundraising resource providing essential funds for ongoing projects and campaigns. Who We Are: The Pregnancy Resource Center of Grand Prairie is a non-profit organization that has been a pillar within our community for over 30 years—impacting over 43,500+ families! What We Do: We offer FREE practical assistance, resources, education, and care for moms, dads, and families facing unexpected pregnancies. We would be honored if you would join us for our 3rd Annual 5k For Life! T-shirt cutoff April 3rd Pre-Packet Pickup Location: Grand Prairie Chamber Of Commerce 900 Conover Dr, Grand Prairie, TX 75051 Date : Thursday April 24th From: 3pm-6pm Race Day Packet Pickup: Mike Lewis Park (race site) 2410 N Carrier Pkwy, Grand Prairie, TX 75050 From: 6:30a -7:30am VOLUNTEER WITH US -Aid station (Super High Priority): Provide water to participants as they pass by. Keep course clean for runners by picking up discarded cups, bottles and trash and placing it in the provided trash cans. -Course Monitor ( Super High Priority): Help maintain a safe course by redirecting traffic away from participants and guiding participants in the right direction. Feel free to bring pom pom, horns, music, instruments, signs etc. to encourage and cheer on runners. Bonus for creative costumes! 🥈AWARDS Male and Female Overall Top 3 Male and Female for the following: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 60-69, 70-79 + REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY Cancelation Policy All Lace Up Running events proceed rain or shine or snow or cold. For that reason, we have a strict no refund policy. In the event of extreme weather, the start time of this event may be delayed by up to an half hour. Past this time, the even course may be shortened or altered to protect the participants. If conditions turns into lightening, ice or become unsafe, the event may be cancelled. Event changes and cancellations are at the discretion of the Race Director. We always strive to produce a full and safe sporting event, but sometimes the weather conditions can affect those plans. A lot of hours, days and even months goes into planning a sporting event and we do so with the best intentions. Unfortunately, no one can control the weather and race directors are not the exceptions. Our goal is to always produce a full event as scheduled and only modify these plans due to safety concerns some of which can be caused by weather conditions. Thank you for your understanding of these policies and we appreciate your participation. If you are unable to participate in the event, or the event is canceled, you can still receive your packet, shirt, and medal and you simply run the race on your own time on your own course.
